About me

I was drawn to becoming a celebrant for two main reasons. The first a conviction that lives should be meaningfully recognised and celebrated for their uniqueness and the impact they have had on others. Everyone makes a difference. The second, a recognition that some of the funerals I have attended for family and friends have felt generic and impersonal and could have applied to anyone, let alone a family member or a close friend. I hope that in my work as a celebrant I do justice to the individual and celebrate their lives meaningfully.

I have lived in rural North Wales for the past 20 years or so. My career has been mostly in the University sector working a consultant. Early in my career I trained as a teacher of English and worked overseas in Italy, Poland and Hong Kong.
